Picking a gaming mouse, keyboard, headset or even mouse pad can be a difficult choice nowadays. There are so many products hitting the shelves that it isn’t always clear which to go for.
One way of helping with this is to look at what the professionals use. eSports athletes, Twitch streamers, YouTubers and the like, use their peripherals day in, day out. Their peripherals are their tools with which to compete, create content and provide entertainment.
Finding what peripherals they use is a good indication of the quality of the product. Some may argue that players or streamers are sponsored which forces them into using certain peripherals.
This is mostly a thing of the past as pro players get to pick whatever peripheral they want in order to help them succeed and perform at their best. The data you see below should be used as a guideline and not as a rule.
So with this in mind I have analysed every pro player, streamer and YouTuber I could get my hands on. The peripherals analysed are:
- Mouse
- Monitor
- Keyboard
- Headset
- Mousepad
The first section will list the most used peripherals in total across the following games:
- CounterStrike Global Offensive
- Fortnite
- Overwatch
- Player Unknowns Battlegrounds
- Apex Legends
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Battalion 1944
Subsequent sections will show the most used peripheral across each game individually. This will help show what peripheral is used the most in the games that you play. Please use the tabs on each graph to cycle through the different games.
The majority of the data was sourced from the team over at prosettings and my own research.
